Private departures on the Magpie River can follow the same itinerary as the Magpie River Adventure or can be adjusted to fit the needs of your group.
Sample itinerary
The Classic, 8-days
Day 1 - Airport pick-up, evening at hotel in coastal village
Day 2 to 6 - Fly-in by float plane and descend the Magpie River.
Day 7 - Paddle to 'take out' point, evening at hotel in coastal village
Day 8 - Airport drop-off
Price
4 to 6 people, $3500 per person plus taxes
7 to 8 people, $3000 per person plus taxes
9 to 12 people, $2500 per person plus taxes
More Options
Adjust trip length, from the three day mini-Magpie to a ten day fishing and relaxing extravaganza.
- Add another night or two on the river to allow for more time for fishing or to relax with a lay-over day, where we'll luxuriate at the same camp for multiple nights in a row.
- Do only the top two thirds or bottom third of the river for a three to five day trip.
- Charter a flight for your group directly from Montreal or Quebec City to Sept-Iles, then take the float plane from Sept-Iles. With this option your group can leave the city in the morning and be in the beautiful wilderness of the Magpie River by mid-afternoon.
